What is a Wickless Candle?
An ESA Essentials Wickless Candle is a modern approach to home fragrance, designed to deliver beautiful, long-lasting aromas without a traditional wick or open flame. Crafted with thoughtfully selected, plant-based ingredients, our candles are gently warmed rather than burned, creating an elegant, flameless fragrance experience.
How do Wickless Candles work?
Simply remove the candle's lid, place the candle on your ESA Essentials electric candle warmer, and select your preferred temperature setting. As the wax gently melts, fragrance is released into your space without lighting a flame.

How long does a Wickless Candle last?
Our 12 oz Wickless Candles provide over 200 hours of fragrance enjoyment. Actual longevity may vary depending on warmer temperature, frequency of use, and environmental conditions.
How large of an area will one candle fragrance?
Each 12 oz Wickless Candle is designed to fragrance an area of approximately 300 square feet. Fragrance intensity may vary depending on room size, airflow, and personal preference. For larger rooms or open-concept spaces, we recommend using multiple candles throughout the area.
What ingredients are used in ESA Essentials Wickless Candles?
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using carefully selected, plant-based ingredients. We prioritize ingredient quality and thoughtful formulation to create a luxurious fragrance experience with well-being in mind.
By eliminating the traditional burning wick, our candles also avoid the soot associated with wick combustion.
Why is there liquid on top of my candle?
Because our candles are made with plant-based ingredients, natural variations in appearance may occur. Occasionally, fragrance oils can separate slightly from the wax, creating a small amount of liquid on the surface.
Minor separation is generally cosmetic and does not necessarily affect the candle's performance. If you notice excessive separation, leaking, or anything unusual, please contact our Customer Care team.
Does the wax disappear as the candle is warmed?
No. Unlike a traditional candle, the wax is not consumed by a burning flame. Instead, it melts and gradually releases fragrance. Over time, the fragrance will diminish while the wax remains in the vessel.
When your candle no longer provides your desired fragrance intensity, it's time to replace it.
Candle Warmers & Care
Do I need a candle warmer to use my Wickless Candle?
Yes. ESA Essentials Wickless Candles are designed to be enjoyed with an appropriate electric candle warmer, not an open flame. Our ESA Essentials warmer is designed to complement our candles and provide a convenient, adjustable warming experience.
Can I adjust the strength of the fragrance?
Yes. Our ESA Essentials candle warmer features three temperature settings:

Level I — Low (113°F)

Level II — Medium (131°F)

Level III — High (149°F)
We recommend starting with Level III for faster melting, then adjusting the temperature to suit your fragrance preference.
Does the candle warmer automatically turn off?
Our candle warmer automatically enters standby mode after eight hours of continuous operation. However, this feature is not a substitute for supervision. Always turn off and unplug the warmer when finished, and allow it to cool before handling.

What is The Wickless Candle Collective?
Our membership is a convenient way to enjoy your favorite ESA Essentials fragrances without having to remember to reorder.
Members receive one 12 oz Wickless Candle every three months through automatic recurring deliveries, with the flexibility to personalize their fragrance selections.
Can I choose which fragrance I receive?
Absolutely! You can select your preferred fragrance from our available collection and change your selection for upcoming deliveries.
You can also choose Surprise Me, and we'll select a fragrance from our existing ESA Essentials collection for you.
How often will I receive my candle?
Your membership includes one 12 oz Wickless Candle delivered every three months.
Does my membership include a candle warmer?
Yes! As a member, you'll receive a complimentary candle warmer when you join, plus another complimentary warmer annually thereafter while your membership remains active. This exclusive benefit is our way of ensuring you can continue enjoying your favorite fragrances with ease and elegance.
Can I change, skip, pause, or cancel my membership?
Yes. Our membership is designed with flexibility in mind. You can manage your fragrance preferences and eligible upcoming deliveries through your subscription account, including changing your scent, skipping a shipment, pausing, or canceling your membership.
Changes must be completed by the applicable deadline outlined in our Subscription Policy to take effect before the next scheduled renewal.
Do I need a membership to purchase ESA Essentials candles?
Not at all! Our Wickless Candles, candle warmer, and Starter Kit are also available for individual purchase. Membership simply provides the added convenience of automatic quarterly candle deliveries.
